Newcomer Award Ceremony - Review + Screen Caps

So I just finish watching this music award "音樂風云榜新人盛典" which was held at Beijing. So the music award only present awards to all the newcomers.

Honestly the music award was very boring probably because I'm not familiar with the artists in China. But it was worth waiting the time after seeing Lollipop's performance and Wang Zi is so cute.

Here's some screen caps I did while watching it.

Lollipop sitting together before they got an award. Not much of their shots as it all went to the unknown China artists.


Finally they got an award. Lollipop received the Best Group award within Hong Kong and Taiwan, while SJ-M got the Best Group Award within China.


Both group was on the stage and they were asked what they think of SJ-M. Ao Quan said he would watch their MVs and imitate them. Then Xiao Jie imitated a bit of their dance. Afterward they had a Lollipop fan to request something from their idol. The request was to show a dance, Ao Quan did his famous Michael's dance.


Then one of the host suddenly cued Wang Zi saying that he's the best at acting spoiled. After hearing that this was his expression:


Him acting spoiled turned out to do a funny face and sang one line of "Dui Ni Ai Bu Wan" to the fans.


Afterward they sang "YES" and "Cang Jing Ge". The way how it was performed was like the V POWER one except that there's a bit more dancing added in between "Cang Jing Ge" dance break.


When the show ended they called all the artists on stage. Each artist/group leader said an ending message to the audience.

Congratulation to Lollipop for being one of the nominees at this Beijing Newcomer Award Ceremony.

This will be broadcast on Chong Xing Wei Shi on the 31st of December.

[News] Guest in "Behind the Story", Xiao Jie cried

[2008-12-22] On the 22nd December Taiwanese popular idol group Lollipop came on “Behind the Story” as guest. This is the first time with this many guests on the show. Throughout the recording Lollipop showed the energetic, humour side of them. But behind this laughter they also have unhappy things which happened. The 6 boys aren’t great in expressing themselves so the host took the chance to let them express their true feelings.

Ao Quan said there was a contradiction that happened to Xiao Jie and himself. Everyone knows Xiao Jie afraid of snakes but once in a show he jokingly used snake to scared Xiao Jie. Xiao Jie was furious about it. Afterward Ao Quan thought that it was too over and apologised to Xiao Jie. As his personality is more care free type he apologised in a not too serious tone. Xiao Jie was more furious as he lack of sincerity and attacked Ao Quan on the chest with chopsticks. During that time Ao Quan thought Xiao Jie lack of gentlemen, and they started fighting. But afterward they both cried because of this.

Regarding to this issue Xiao Jie explained that he was too angry during that time that made him did such thing. He regrets it a lot afterward and regret fighting with Ao Quan. Xiao Jie expressed that he cares a lot about each members, and is happy to spend time with the members. He hopes everyone can stick together forever and never disband. When Xiao Jie was talking he was very emotional and cried, this true heart talk has vanish what they had in heart. They hugged each other and forget all the unhappy things. Xiao Jie hopes they all can get along well and not have another contradiction with each other.

[News] 2-3 years later Lollipop might disband

[2008-12-22] On the 22nd December, Taiwanese popular idol group Lollipop came on Hunan TV’s show “Behind the Story” as guest to talk about their growth. They first performed “Cang Jing Ge” a song from their “Hei Tang Qun Xia Zhuan” OST album which made all the fans screamed. But when leader Ao Quan said 2, 3 years later Lollipop might disband the fans cannot control themselves.

Lollipop each have own talents, wants the world to know them.

In the show Lollipop first showed off their singing and dancing, they just received 2008 TVB8 Best Group award each of them have their own talents. Xiao Yu who can play the guitar and saxophone, A Wei who knows how to play the piano, Ao Quan who’s good at dancing, Xiao Jie who’s great at composing and Wang Zi who is an all rounder. When the 6 boys talk about their dreams, they wish the world would know about Lollipop. (I wonder why they left Wei Lian out?)

Taipei Xiao Ju Dan concert

Lollipop has made the record of opening a concert in Xiao Ju Dan within 2 years after debut. In 2008 they stepped on a stage where many artists don’t have the chance to and opened their own concert. When the 6 revise back they still couldn’t believe it happened, before the concert they would peak if anyone line up to purchase tickets. Wei Lian and Ao Quan were so nervous that they had their first fight with each other.

When talking about the concert, the other members talked interesting things that happened to Ao Quan. During that time Ao Quan thought he would appear really handsome during his solo part but unfortunately his button fell out and revealed his flower underpants. Although in the show Ao Quan expressed that his pants was too flowery. But at that time he actually cried in the toilet.

Ao Quan’s age problem, 2-3 years later will withdraw Lollipop

As the leader and the oldest member in the show Ao Quan said 2-3 years later he will withdraw from Lollipop. Ao Quan frankly said he’s already 26 years old and cannot imagine himself still acting young when he’s 30, he wish 2-3 years later he would have something else to do.

Other members also expressed that Lollipop might not last forever but they hope everyone has good luck, when they are old they can revise the time now.

Although I'm not sure if I will still like Lollipop 2-3 years later but hearing Ao Quan will leave the group is sure a sad thing. Hope it would never happen.

By the way this show seem interesting, I love shows where one artist talks about their pasts and experience, it's way more interesting than playing some random games.

I'm looking forward to watching the show.
